It's here! The new identity for dksilver.
Bringing everything in line to make the work of dksilver studio come together as a brand is such an exciting project... The cuffs are being worn by Mr Scotland's Tristan Cameron Harper, photographed by Alistair Clark Photography on East Lothians stunning Seacliff Beach.

The dots... a cool reminder of the real meaning of wanderlust, nature, the past and adventures to come.

 

Three dots... what do they mean? What could they mean??... Strength, power, sensitivity, spirit, body, mind, earth, air, fire, water, peace, action, adventure, beauty, reflection, wisdom, courage, freedom, sight, touch, sound, light, dark, I love you, tranquility, me, them, us, etcetera etcetera etcetera... 

The three dots are seen on body adornment and carvings of ancient Scots, Picts, Celts, Norse, Tribal Indian jewellery and maybe more.

There isn't really a record of what the markings might be. However, this is a design that has transcended time. So what it means is up to you.

Something lost something found the story behind the cuff

In 2003 I was volunteering in South India. I loved the work that we did, met so many people and felt totally inspired. After three months working I was lucky to do some travelling. I took a 38-hour train journey from south India to the north. The landscape was so different, many more people than the south and all the mixtures of faiths coming together everywhere you looked.

This was a big time for me, I was seeing the world with new eyes. I had not purchased much along the way, but then I saw an antique glass and wood display box...
