Traditional Penannular Brooch
One-off large Brooch Pin silver test piece that I made when looking at how these traditional brooches were made. Sterling silver twisted, stamped with scrolled ends. This brooch is perfect for a large scarf or more traditionally to hold your tartan plaid in place.
This piece is hammered, twisted, stamped and worked hard, it has a look of something old found in the ground.
The circular part is 6.5 cm across, the pin is 11.5 cm
Very traditional, Scottish and hand made looking ... very much a studio one-off
This pin is hallmarked in Edinburgh, Scotlands capital city where I live and work.
